Open to all voice parts. Choral experience and music reading helpful but not required.

Hopewell United Methodist Church has a Praise Team because we offer a blended
service with both contemporary and traditional Christian music.

The children of HUMC have shown a great interest in performing plays. We perform a
larger-scale play (20-30 minutes) for the Worship service before Christmas, and, as of
this year, a smaller play for Palm Sunday. We also prepare and sing songs during the
plays, as well as in a few Worship services throughout the year. The choir meets on
Sunday evenings at 5:45pm for 45 minutes to an hour and takes the summer off. We
will start on new songs and the Christmas play on September 21.

We have a 3 octave set of bells at HUMC. We currently have enough hands to play 2
octaves, We practice from 4-5pm on Sundays and play during Worship 4-6 times each
year. Some music knowledge is helpful.

The ukulele choir consists of all ages. We have practice times set for Tuesdays at
5:15pm and Fridays at 4:45pm, which last approximately an hour. Historically, adults
meet on Tuesday and children/youth meet on Friday. The choir leads Worship on the
fourth Sunday of the month. There are instruments available for those wanting to learn
to play.
